Dr. Caryn Paulin

Veterinarian

Education: Iowa State University

Dr. Caryn Paulin hails from Northwest Iowa, growing up on her family farm where they raised hogs, cattle, corn, and soybeans. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science at Iowa State University, she went on to attend veterinary school (also at ISU) and graduated with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2000.  After graduation, she joined a 7-doctor small animal hospital and practiced there for six years.  In 2006, Caryn found her home at Westfield and has been practicing here ever since!

Caryn’s professional interests include performing ultrasounds and soft tissue surgery.  In her free time, Caryn enjoys kickboxing and doing almost anything outdoors with her husband John, and 2 sons, Sam and Max. You can find them hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time at the lake or on her family’s farm most weekends. They enjoy rural living and have two Labrador retrievers, Miss Pearl and Bea, as well as a very bossy cat named Schmitty!
